i've been giving her sma gold but she is often sick after feeds. i'm just wondering if maybe the formula is too rich for her. any ideas?

Hi, how old is she and has she always been on SMA?

SenoraPostrophe · 02/04/2008 11:01

are you talking sick sick, or "possetting", (which is maybe a teaspoon or two of regurgitated milk). if the latter, most babies do that, and its nothing to worry about really. sma gold isn't especially rich anyway is it?

she's 8 weeks old. she was fed aptamil in hosp but i switched to sma when we got home (because i'd already bought it a few days before). she was 2 days old. i think maybe i should have kept her on aptamil?

Yes, how sick do you mean - big sicks after every feed?

peggotty · 02/04/2008 11:08

Crossed posts. She might have reflux? My dd had it and was horribly sick after most feeds - wasn't anything to do with the formula she was on.

hadn't thoght of that tbh peggotty. would infant gaviscon help? might speak to hv at clinic tomorrow.
