Hi ladies,

I’m just looking for some success stories - I ebf my 6 month old and he’s never taken a bottle before, however the last few weeks I’ve left him upwards of 6 hours and he’s drank a few oz from a Tommy tippee sippy cup and has been happy. It’s my best friends hen do at the end of the month (baby will be 7 months by then) and I would feed him at 8am Saturday morning and wouldn’t feed him until 6pm Sunday evening. I guess what I’m asking is if anyone has left their ebf baby that long with their daddy and a sippy cup/pouches and food and they’ve been ok? Xx

Hi!
not exactly the same but I left my 10 week old EBF baby overnight with my Mum from 5pm-12pm the next day with milk that I had expressed ( some frozen). He was absolutely fine but it was from a bottle.

I think you're going to have to work on getting baby to take more milk from a bottle or cup before then.

Otherwise it's too long to go with not enough fluids. I'd be worried about dehydration. According to NHS 7 month old should have 600ml milk (20oz) per 24 hours

That's for a FF baby though? BF babies simply don't need as much milk as a FF baby as the OPs milk will adapt to meet her baby's needs.
