Tommee Tippee easi-vent bottles vs Dr Brown's

I want to buy a few bottles and a steriliser to go with but I am just not sure which brand to go for. I like the sound of both, but really need to know which is best! I am planning on BF, but these are gong to be for back up in case I can't BF or if I want to express.

Any advice is appreciated!

Haven't tried Tommee Tippee ones, but I like Dr Brown's (or ds2 does). Seem to make him much less windy than non-vented bottles.

No idea about sterilisers. I just use a huge tupperware container and Milton solution.

I use tommee tippee and get on OK with them - and I don't sterilise. Just hot soapy water, rinse and air dry.

I like the fact that the tommee tippee bottles have little containers you can buy that fit in the bottle so you can dose out the correct amount of powder in advance then add it to the water when you need to. My DD drinks her milk at room temperature - don't have to warm it up.

The Dr Brown's bottles are brilliant for bottle feeding, but if you are going to combine breast and bottle, then the tommee tippee ones may be better. In all honesty it depends on the baby.

I have both, and prefer the Dr Brown's ones as he takes in less air when he feeds. He still has no problem latching on (well, as well as he ever did, hence being on the bottles in the first place!) but that may be because he's a compliant (hah!) baby

Oh, as for sterilisers, if you go to Morrisons, I believe they have an Avent electric or microwave steam steriliser on half price at the moment.

Failing that, I have the tommee tippee microwave one and it's great. There are some things (some dummies and breast pump parts) that can't be sterilised in a microwave though, so an electric one may be better.

I have just bought a Dr browns mircowave steriliser which comes with two bottles you can use from newborn.
Still awaiting the arrival of my little one so haven't used them yet, but several of my mates have raved about dr browns.
Got my kit in mothercare but you can get it in john lewis etc too.

I mix fed my lo from about 5 months and had no problems getting her to take the tommee tippee
closer to nature bottles

Another vote for tommee tippee, i used them when i was mixed feeding - i am now totally FF but found they were good.

A microwave steriliser is useful and very quick.
