Confused about milk

My DS is 8 weeks old and for the past month I've been trying to figure out if he has CMPA or not.

First started when I took him to see GP because after a few feeds he went hysterical when we tried to burp him, screaming and arching back like he was in real pain. He also had a rash on his face which had been worse the week before which I told the doctor I thought was baby acne but he said it was allergy rash. I also told the doctor he was inconsolable and I was prescribed Neocate which I felt was a bit extreme given how I know some parents have to really fight for it!

Anyway fast forward to now and the rash has completely gone despite not giving him the Neocate. I think my instincts were right and it was baby acne. And in hindsight I shouldn't have told the doctor he was inconsolable cause he's not really! I think I just got overwhelmed as a FTM and assumed there must be a problem! He does cry but nothing that a bit of bouncing upright doesn't sort.

However he does still have issues bringing wind up and is in discomfort after feeds, also strains and grunts a lot. We have changed his milk to kendamil goat which he's been on for a week and a half now. He was on kendamil organic but I thought it might be too rich for him. His stools are very watery but I've read it's common on this milk? It also varies how often he goes. Sometimes once, twice, three times a day or sometimes he'll miss a day. I've attached some photos.

I've been to see an osteopath and she doesn't think he has allergy but could have an intolerance or an immature digestive system and suggested a probiotic, Optibac? She also said he does have reflux which explains the back arching.

Otherwise he really loves his milk and is a really good sleeper, goes down at 8pm and sleeps right through till 4am for a feed then goes back to sleep till about 9am! He's also never sick and has lovely skin now the baby acne has gone. He's also putting on weight, at 6 weeks he was 10lb7 and he was 8lb7 when born.

What do people think?

I think a bit of crying and discomfort when feeding and winding is very normal Not sure why so many assume they have some kind of allergy unless it's extreme it's just what babies do

I think your baby sounds completely normal. You’re doing a great job, stop worrying. 💐

I think it all sounds very normal but I wouldn't be taking advice from any who said "he doesn't have an allergy, maybe an intolerance". This is very outdated. There are two types of allergy, IGE and non-IGE. There are not intolerances.
