Bringing up milk / mucus in nappy

Hi, my LO is 8 weeks old. She had a tongue tie which was cut. She’s currently on cow and gate formula. She has always spat up some milk but the last week it’s been a lot more. Sometimes she’ll bring up milk when feeding or a couple of hours later and sometimes it’s clear. She’s also had mucus in her last 2 nappy’s. I mentioned it to the HV but we’ve got our 8 week check up so she just said to discuss it with the doctor then. Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it worth changing formula? My LO is not upset by it and is settled. Thanks!

If there's mucus in the nappy I'll take baby to the doctor. I won't bother changing milk as they're all the same if not hypoallergenic. I'd keep an eye on the nappy overnight and if it continues, I'll take baby to the doctor. Congratulations on your new baby.

I should’ve said we’re seeing the doctor tomorrow! I was wondering if it could be the lactose or cmpa but she’s not unhappy and wouldn’t there have been symptoms from the start?

Sometimes no symptoms from the start, it tends to build up over time. My son's started around 4 weeks with a rash but he had no mucus in poos.

My baby didn't have CMPA symptoms to start with apart from very regular dirty nappies and some mucus. Over time the nappies got worse and also she started to experience pain.

ok, thank you. I’ll see how we get on tomorrow at the doctors!
