Formula and smelly bums!

Hopefully nobody will mind but I am a dad who needs help. Little Dylan is 5 months old and has been exclusively breast fed, not by me, until 2 weeks ago when we started 1 bottle of SMA before bed. Only problem is, and I am sorry for this, his arse stinks as bad as a commited meat eater! Is this normal or could it be the type of formula we are using? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

it could well be the formula but it's still normal

ff changes the gut flora hence poos and farts smell different

As someone who hs changed a LOT of nappies, of both bottle and breast fed babies, I can assure you formula poos are much stinkier, and generally dryer.
