Baby was born 10lbs 15. (Off the % chart) Lost a bit and now at 8 weeks still only 11lbs 4oz (just under 75%) which was exactly the same last week no loss or gain, drinking bottles fine, slight silent reflux, why the slow weight gain?

Worried sick my anxiety levels arnt the best. Plenty of wet nappies, one diahorea a day this last week as we changed milk, content happy baby otherwise.

What's the reason you changed milk OP? Just wondering if you're worried about anything else?

Kirstylvsya · 05/04/2024 08:09

@CadyEastman she has a bit of silent reflux and struggled to bring wind up and was refusing bottles.

Not concerned about anything else. Thought we had turned a corner to be honest, she's taking bottles fine, still only 4oz max.

I did wonder at the start about an allergy or intolerance but not anymore until this now I'm wondering again Confused

My daughter was under the 2% for weight for 12+ months so personally I think 75% is fantastic. Keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn’t keep dropping but you are doing awesome mumma

Maybe catch down growth?

Kirstylvsya · 05/04/2024 08:30

@Kindofcrunchy sounds exactly right, she was big due to diabetes.

I too was going to say catch down.

CadyEastman · 05/04/2024 08:48

Could definitely be catch down. My DD went down two centiles but has stayed there ever since abd is now a very healthy teen. I'm slim so was a bit Shock when she came out at 8lb 3oz.

If you think there's a bit of reflux I don't suppose it would hurt to try a comfort formula Flowers
