Lump after mastitis?

Happymunchkin567 · 25/03/2024 15:57

I was diagnosed with mastitis a few days ago. I felt pretty ropey and had a red, painful breast.

The antibiotics seem to be working their magic. I no longer feel ropey and the redness and pain have gone.
I can, however, feel a painles lump where the affected area was. Is this normal?

Has anyone experienced similar?

It's pretty early doors - I'm only on my second full day of antibiotics, but it's freaking me out somewhat!!

If I remember correctly, the redness went first and the lump took a few more days. Just keep an eye OP and hopefully it will clear.

My daughter had mastitis in January and she had a lump that lasted until mid-February.

I had lumps even without mastitis. Mention it to your HV when you see her next if it doesn't clear.
