...grab his free leg with his free arm and describe vigorous circles...

...repeatedly rake his fingernails lovingly down your arm, veeeery slowly...

...tuck his chin into his chest so his nose is buried, but continue feeding, gradually turning purple, at which point he comes off looking very indignant....

...stare fixedly at your arm pit until you get self-conscious...?

Or am I just especially blessed?

Lol that's soooo true!!

What about grabbing your boob with both hands and mashng it at both sides?? Ouch

frisbyrat · 26/03/2008 16:58

There are very valid reasons why I rarely feed in public.

Ooh, yes, and today's favourite, which is swinging his arm wildly to and fro, occasionally thwacking himself in the skull.

Feeling the love, then, Fio?

My 8 month old likes to clutch my boob as if it had a handle either side (think sippy cup) while he feeds. Sometimes this is accompanied by "steering".

Loving the little snorts of laughter while feeding though [swoon]

aGalChangedHerName · 26/03/2008 17:00

Hey better than thwacking you in the skull no?? Haha

mistlethrush · 26/03/2008 17:01

How about the 'push your top up to your chin, then rake fingernails down exposed breast, leaving spots of blood all the way down' and the 'wait until the milk is really flowing then find something's happening on the otherside of the room, turn head rapidly (not letting go until scream) then wondering why there's a sudden rain of milk coming down over face, and, indeed, in the direction that dc is now looking...' I also gave up bf in public - at about 4mo unless ds was REALLY hungry - just too many distractions

ChasingButterflies · 26/03/2008 17:02

Yes!
PLUS

  • scratching and pinching my breast (occasionally drawing blood )
  • turning his face down towards the cushion he's lying on - without letting go of my nipple
  • stretching his feet to touch the sofa/arm of chair I'm on and "boinging" himself forwards and backwards
  • rolling on to his back, exposing me mid-feed, and grinning up at me with milk dribbling out of his mouth. And sometimes his nose...
helips · 26/03/2008 19:19

ds slaps my face, pulls my nose, jams fingers in my mouth and tugs on my teeth! Funny little monkeys aren't they

canadianmum · 26/03/2008 19:20

yes AND:

stroking my chest lovingly [lovely] while donkey kicking me in the arm with upper leg [not so lovely]

and on Easter Sunday she bit me with the brand new tooth I hadn't even noticed - I practically levitated....

Sooootired · 26/03/2008 19:23

My DS likes to 'ping' my nipples ie attach, pull off, look at me and laugh, attach, pull off, look at me and laugh....my nipples are about 6 inches long now...

jaynz · 26/03/2008 19:35

...and what's with little boys playing so enthusiastically with their penises while feeding - and then trying to grab your tongue...ew!
