This is sooo positive! If only they could be on huge billboards.

Hi

thanks for your fab fab comments - we were originally briefed by Central Lancashire PCT and Little Angels (3rd Sector Agency dedicated to peer to peer breastfeeding support) who were working on behalf of East Lancs PCT, Blackburn with Darwen PCT and Bolton PCT. We launched the campaign in these 4 areas and, within a week Wirral, Blackpool and N Lancs PCT's had come on board (the campaign is launching in these areas at the end of April in time for Breastfeeding Awareness Week.

Please spread the word - comments on the blog include one from a 21 yr old mum of a 3 week old who said, at 1am that, she would have given up feeding if she hadn't found the blog...that's what it's all about for us!

With Little Angels we are planning to take the campaign to the National Unicef Conference and hope that it will roll out nationwide before too long.

we've had requests from USA, Canada, S Africa and Australia to be part of the campaign - amazing!!

KashaSarrasin · 05/04/2008 21:41

Great idea, great photos! I only wished I looked that good, sigh .

lilyloo · 05/04/2008 21:45

What a great idea and my neck of the woods too
If only could look like that when feeding dd

chatee · 05/04/2008 21:47

i was travelling through lancashire on the m6 and was listening to a 'local' radio station and they had a brilliant advert about breast feeding - it was really good and made me think about when i breast fed ds and how i wouldn't have had a clue or support from midwives in the hospital if i hadn't known about mn.
is the advert also part of the advertising or is that something totally separate?(must say first time i have ever heard anything like it)

kiskideesameanoldmother · 08/04/2008 08:04

article in today's guardian

moodymammy · 08/04/2008 08:27

I love these adverts! I remember breastfeeding ds whilst standing up (was walking to an appointment in the hospital) but in no way did I look that good! Very proud of myself for multi tasking () though!

MerlinsBeard · 08/04/2008 12:29

I would LOVE to do something like that!

WOuld make me feel great after having DS3 (5 weeks in the middle of the dreaded spurt) and would promote bf without actually showing the gas man my breasts like i did the other day because ds3 had come off on route to the door to stare at theman
