Lump on nipple

Sorry I haven't had any response from woman's health so thought I would try here as I'm pretty sure it's related.

I have made an doctors appointment for tomorrow morning but just wondering if anyone can relate? I was currently breastfeeding for 6 months and weaned my baby off and only do it every other night now, however I have noticed a lump/bump on the side of my actual nipple which does seem to move about and almost disappear if I squeeze the nipple itself quite hard but always reappears? It's so bizarre, it's not a typical blocked milk duct caused by engorgement as I had that too and that was painful but this isn't at all! It does bother me as to what it could be. Has anyone ever had this?

I have this too!!! Did you go to a GP?

I’ve been breastfeeding for 9 months and just found a lump on the side of my nipple, not hard or anything. I’ve read a few places that it could be dried milk?

I had what I think was a blocked duct that was like this, didn't hurt but I felt unwell and did all the usual stuff to clear it and it did go away slowly and I felt better. I never saw anyone about it though so it could have been something else...

Thanks for replying, since then I got referred to the urgent breast cancer clinic, ultrasound done and nothing sinister at all! They put it down to breastfeeding. I haven't breastfed in 4 months and it's still there!
