Breastfeeding and drinking

I've gone out today for the first time since having my 10 month old - started drinking around 2:30, I've had 3 glasses of wine and 2 cocktails. I've eaten quite a lot alongside this.

When will I be OK to feed again? My baby normally feeds during the night and I have got pumped milk but she doesn't take the bottle that well.

I'm 125lbs and 5ft2 if that makes a difference?

You will be fine to feed. Hardly any alcohol makes it into breastmilk. Honest your fine. Hope u had a nice time. X

Absolutely fine to drink alcohol and breastfeed, you don’t have to wait. Just don’t co-sleep and maybe have someone wake with you incase you fall asleep feeding!

hope you had a good night!

You can feed immediately. No amount of alcohol consumed by you is enough to affect your baby via breastmilk.

Do be careful around safe sleep though (it is not safe to co sleep or fall asleep with your baby when you have been drinking, and you are more likely to do this accidentally after drinking!). Have someone present to supervise you caring for and feeding your baby if you are intoxicated.

Breastfeeding is ok, if you want to your choice. Defo don't co sleep.

I was told if you're sober enough to hold baby you're sober enough to feed...

Thanks so much for the reassurance everyone :)
