Repetitive tonsil inflammation

During pregnancy I had a bout of something (a cold/cough) that brought my tonsils up quite badly. They were very sore/red but no pus or anything. I didn’t think much of it at the time, though they had only come up like that once before when I had real tonsillitis years earlier. But since then they’ve come up several more times with no real cold emerging. I’m now 10 months pp so it’s not like it’s happening constantly but I’m wondering if there’s some hormonal reason they might flare more easily in pregnancy and still now as I’m still breastfeeding. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

Perhaps just me then 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope it’s hormone related rather than some kind of chronic thing.
