Does illness in baby affect milk supply?

Well, not illness exactly, but I ate something yesterday that didn't agree with DS (6 weeks) and he has been very windy all day and not feeding very much. Also he was awake screaming for half the night so has been sleeping for much of the day so I've not been able to get him to take a normal feed. But my question is - will his small milk intake today mean that I make less milk tomorrow? He was having a growth spurt up till yesterday.

Many thanks,
Ange

I never noticed a differnece really (apart from after a night of non stop feeding when would wake up like Dolly).
Don't worry,it will all balance out overall.Even if your supply dips slightly, he will suck more to boost it again.

I'm sure it will be OK. So long as you're not topping up with formula or anything, then he's going to catch up with wanting a feed soon, and will probably take the same amount as normal at a different time. They can feed very quickly if they want to.

How many feeds has he had today?

He's had about 4 (small) feeds today.
