Now before anyone says anything negative I havnt done this yet …
lo hates milk ped’s dr said she can have regular milk if she likes it better but she just had to talk to a dietitian first and she’d get back to me but that was 2 weeks ago🙄
shes only 7 months old and google says regular milk before 1 can cause intestinal bleeding??

Cows milk alone is nutritionally insufficient for a baby under 1 year old, which is why formula (which typically has a cows milk base) has so many additional vitamins and minerals added to make it nutritionally complete.
I would wait to hear what the dietitian says. They will be much more qualified than the paediatrician with regards to this sort of thing.

Unusual advice and I think you're doing the right thing to wait.

Which milk is she on now?

TheShellBeach · 17/02/2024 23:22

Why do you think your baby would prefer cow's milk?
Formula is cow's milk anyway.

Patriciamcpat · 21/02/2024 18:25

@CadyEastman she’s on cow and gate
@TheShellBeach she’ll drink regular cows milk from her sippy cup when I’ve tried

Are you in the UK? Our paediatric dietitian encouraged us to move to off the self adult oat milk at 11 months (cmpa) but only after analysing her diet and saying she was only 4 weeks off 12 months so there was no point trying to transition onto medical formula. But your little one is 5 months off 12 months.

I was asking if you’re in the UK as I was wondering why you’re seeing a Paediatrician, is it just for reluctance to drink milk or is there something else going on?

Patriciamcpat · 21/02/2024 21:08

@Justkeepswimmingswimming we have been seen by a Paediatrician and they are happy with her , she has been off milk for awhile she developed a bottle aversion from having reflux sadly :(

Try kendamil.

I actually tasted a bit and it was actually quite nice compared to the other formulas!
More creamy
