Breastfeeding slings?

Hi
on a few breastfeeding threads I have seen the suggestion for popping baby in a sling to feed. I have search on Google for a breastfeeding sling and for ways to tie our long wrap thing but can’t find anything. Can anyone suggest something?

I breastfed quite comfortably in the ergo embrace and 360. Just required a bit of manoeuvring

Would recommend the embrace 100% for comfort and ease of putting on

@Tryingtohelp12 is there a sling library near to you? Sometimes you can borrow them and the Women that run the services are generally incredibly helpful Wink

I only worked this out on my third baby. You kind of need the confidence to manoeuvre baby around within the sling, the flexibility to shift your boob around to meet them and the experience to get a decent latch at various angles. None of these I had with DC1 and I didn't use slings much with DC2.

That said I know people do manage it with their first, so agree with looking for a local sling meet or sling library. There is no specific sling to do it with but some will be easier than others. Essentially you want to loosen the sling, tilt baby sort of diagonally at an angle, shift boob up to meet them and help them latch on, then sort of tighten the sling around them (or keep it loose but hold them with one hand until done).

Then you need to stay aware and straighten them up and hitch them up when finished as you want to avoid them being in a bad position which can happen if the sling is too loose and this can be dangerous.
