3 month old how long per day breastfeeding

My son is nearly 14 weeks old. He is still breastfeeding for 4-5 hours per day. Is this normal? I thought his feeding would be reducing my now but seems to have increased recently (possibly because he has a cold). Just wanted to hear other people's experiences. I am feeling very guilty that I'm neglecting my older daughter as I spend so long sat on the sofa feeding him.

Perfectly normal yes. There's a regression/progression around this age too which could be a contributing factor. I know it's tiring bur it won't be forever. My DD started taking less around 6 months when we started weaning. Before ramping back up again a few months later 🙃. There's also teething/colds etc which always affects how often baby feeds.

Trust him, he will know what he needs.

Normal but there are things you can do like breast compressions to try and get them to feed a little quicker Wink
