I’m slightly concerned my child eating always shown a strong appetite and has been eating frequently since birth. Over the last week or so, he has been consuming around 150ml (just over 5oz) of milk every 2 hours, although this can stretch more to 3-4 hrs during the night. However sometimes he won’t finish a who bottle.

Despite our efforts to address his hunger, there are times when he seems unsettled and continues to seek more milk. For example, last night I initially fed him 150ml, but he appeared still hungry, so I topped him up with an additional 120ml after attempting to settle him. Although I pace fed him he still took the whole bottle and seemed unhappy prior to doing so.

He’s a happy baby and other than a nappy change or wanting milk he doesn’t cry! We have tried to give him the dummy as opposed to milk but he just wants the milk!

The health visitor said to try settling another way but if he still seems hungry then to give the milk, but I don’t know if we are giving him too much - anyone got any advice/experience with this?
