My son is 12 weeks old and feeding has been a constant struggle. I tried BFing him and got constant block ducts and awful mastitis, it turns out he had a really bad tongue tie where his tongue was basically flat to the bottom of his mouth with a really tight mouth that he can’t open wide due to tension. On top of this we’ve really struggled with tummy issues, he’s now bottle fed as he’s on hypoallergenic formula due to suspected cow protein allergy but also taking in so much air with every feed due to poor latch on the bottle. I’ve tried a number of different teats and his lips won’t flange around, this might be due to his mouth being too tight but I’m just looking for some advice on anyone else who might have experienced something similar? He’s had his tongue tie cut, it’s reattached and we’re getting it recut next week but we’re also seeing an osteopath weekly for work on his mouth but it’s starting to add up now and I’m not noticing any difference.
