Hello
I was wondering have any of you followed Rowena baretts bottle aversion book?
my 7month old has a bottle aversion and I’m afraid to cut his solids as the book suggests ? He will no longer take his bottle while awake so dream feed in his naps 3/4oz , he’s currently Around 20lb(last weighting was 3 weeks ago) but his feeding has gotten a lot worse now only takes maybe 16oz in 24hours , and has good and bad days on solids

I don’t know what to do getting very stressed and depressed by him not feeding :(:(:(:(:

How often is he having solids @Formulamum?

Formulamum · 30/01/2024 20:41

@CadyEastman 3 times a day but might only eat 1/2 full meals

I would be tempted to follow her advice. The NHS guidance is to start offering solids 3 times a day between 8 and 9 months so I think you may be ok to only offer twice a day for a while to see if things improve?

It's been a long time since mine were small but can you offer a cup or sippy cup. We had great results with these when we were trying, ds ended up never actually having a 'proper' bottle. We tried so many things, we must have had every type of bottle going.
