Another worry, & probably in the wrong place but everyone here is so helpful.

Hi, my 6 week old DS keeps really straining, he goes bright red and kicks his legs out and often cries or grumbles when doing it (ie, he doesn't seem to be doing it for fun as suggested by HV ).

It often coincides with him needing a feed eg when he wakes from a sleep. He can continue straining throughout the feed (unpleasant!)& has now started brining up milk fairly often, which i think is because he strains so much.

He seems tho not to be constipated as such, having approx 7 dirty nappies a day.

He really holds on to his wind despite Infacol and lots of attempted winding, do you think it's related?

Any advise or should i go see GP before our 8 week check?

Thanks

I found infacol didn't work for DS. One dose of gripe water produced a burp with some milk / gripe water filled with lots of bubbles and a grinning DS. It can be hard to get the 5ml down him, but works best for us. We're down to an average of 1 dose a day instead of infacol with every feed
