Silver nipple cups - recommended?

My baby is due in 2 weeks Smile I plan to breastfeed.

I’ve come across silver nipple cups and they seem to come highly recommended, both if problems develop but also as preventative measure. I think I have quite sensitive nipples anyway (first trimester was awful!). Would people recommend getting a pair in advance so as to have them available from the start of feeding?

Also, I’ve seen a set secondhand which is tempting as they’re half the price of new. I’m assuming this is safe if I thoroughly clean them on arrival as the manufacturer recommends, with bicarbonate and warm water?

You can get a pretty cheap pair on Amazon next day delivery. They are really good so worth the buy. Can't see a reason why a second hand pair would be an issue, silver is antibacterial.

I would definitely recommend, they help stop your nipples from rubbing yon your bra when not feeding as they will get sensitive!

I think they were a huge reason why I was able to get through the first difficult days of breastfeeding. Def recommend them, I paid about £25 on Amazon.

It's a big yes from me. I was very close to giving up but these took the edge off and I was able to push through. Wish I'd had them first time round.
