Seeing if anyone had this experience with their baby and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My almost 5 month old has been a nightmare to breastfeed the last couple of weeks. DD has bern refusing bottles the past couple of months now. I usually dream feed two bottles over the day while I can now. However since the last couple of weeks, every time I put DD to the breast, she only drinks for 5 minutes or less (definitely has not emptied the breast and I’m not an overproducer, always gave top ups since birth). I try her on the other side and it’s the same again. Then will point blank refuse to drink any more but she will happily try to put everything else in her mouth. She turns the other way and sometimes whinge if I try to get her to drink. Ive tried different positions with minimal success. Sometimes lucky to have her drinking again the next half an hour. She doesn’t show much hunger signs or if she does then she’s not drinking for long again. Any advice on what I can do? Ive already tried leaving her longer than 3 hours to make sure she is hungry.
