So my DD is 11 months old and still BF (obviously now on solids too), she's eating her 3 meals, taking water and all that wonderfully and has cut back on her milk from me to only when she's ready to nap/sleep at night. Occasionally she'll want to pop on if she's fussy or bumps her head etc.
I'm ready to wean her now completely for a few reasons:
- HV said it's fine to start her on cow's milk now
- she has 7 teeth and destroying my nipples!
- at night, (co sleeping), she wants to sleep with my boobs in her mouth half the night. Like I'm a human paci
- I BF my son for 2.5 yrs and physically had to go away for a few days to wean so I am trying to avoid that length of time feeding this time around
On top of that, I want to start Cambridge 1:1 to get some weight off. I've read that cambridge isn't good for BF bc it can ruin/end your supply. That's not really an issue considering I want to stop and switch her to cow's milk. What I am wondering tho is if the ingredients is going to be a problem for her? I'm attaching an example of one of the products - they're full of different vitamins.
Because she's only feeding a handful of times and I'm switching her to regular milk, would any intake from the diet effect her? I don't mind waiting and just trying to wean first but obviously eager to get started as well!
P. S. Any tips for switching to regular milk at night is appreciated! Seems silly to give her a bottle since that'd be a new thing to break but maybe a sippy cup? Thanks!
