CMPA help

My 10 week old has suspected cmpa. I'm breastfeeding so gave up soya/dairy and he settled really well. However in the next few months I need to move him to formula (various reasons- my health, will be travelling solo soon).
We tried Nutramigen and he seemed fine for 2 days, then started to get awful stomach cramps again so we stopped it assuming he was reacting badly. I know the formula does contain some dairy, just broken down to minimise reactions. It's been about 6 days since we stopped the formula, but he's still getting very painful cramps which are lasting all day and night! Can the formula still be in his system? Or is he now reacting to something in my breastmilk?
We really need to get to the bottom of this but doctors have said to wait 6 weeks until trying anything new - not sure I can cope with no sleep and a baby in agony for that long 😭

No advice but following. We have a very similar situation. I have given up dairy to breastfeed but 9 week old had some althera on Sunday and Monday (it’s now Friday) and has been incredibly unsettled with bad reflux that he didn’t have before since. It’s hard to believe that two small bottles could cause such a reaction but would be interested to hear from someone more clued up.
