Am I over feeding my four month old?

My LG is 4 months old. She is a really good weight. However recently she's become really upset on the bottle and off. She has reflux which is under control but I get the feeling she has some tummy pain. Her poos are regular and normal.

Anyway I have always fed on demand but I saw on the back of her formula the other day that at her age she should be having around 5 feeds a day. Well this girl feeds around every 2 hours throughout the day then come 8pm sleeps for around 4-6 hrs then returns to feeding every 2 hrs. She averages 8+ I'm worried im over feeding? It's not cluster feeding because she's done this for a long time.

Side note: 4 month sleep regression has hit and she will only sleep after being walked around at a particular pace while being bounced and fed at the same time. Any tips welcome. She doesn't want to be put down and will give the saddest cry ever if you dare try 😅

Someone tell me it gets easier

How many Oz/ml is she having in each bottle?

It depends on how much milk she is actually consuming, my girl feeds more frequently but has less milk per bottle.

Hmm average per 24 hours is around 32oz at that age, so it does seem like she’s having a lot.

Seems like she’s feeding for comfort as the reflux could still be bothering her. Will she take a dummy? It could be the sucking reflex that calms her. It might take a few options as they can be fussy about it!

Have you tried white noise quite loudly when trying to settle?

I think that seems a lot.

At 5mo mine was on 180-210ml at 7am, 10.30am, 2:30pm, small feed at 6pm (90ml) before bath and 210ml bedtime bottle at 7pm.

Overnight we would give max 120ml bottle if waking before 1am and anytime after 60-90ml.

But usually it was just 1-2 wakings and a dummy started to suffice.

Does she take a dummy? Or have a comforter?
