Safely giving water to FF baby

Hello

So i've been advised by GP to offer "small amounts" of water in between feeds to help loosen my 3mo babies stool.

I'm just wondering what constitutes a "small amount", 30ml? 90ml?

Also, I know to give cooled boiled water in a sterilised bottle but do the same rules apply as bottle feeding milk? After an hour of the bottle passing her lips do I have to chuck it? I assume the "2hr after making" rule doesn't apply as there's no milk bacteria concerned?

I’d say an ounce of water, and yes, Chuck it after an hour.

Have you tried giving her the ready made formula instead of the powdered? A few feeds a day of this often helps too.

I have been trying the ready made as this is what my HV advised but it's not really made any difference over the last 2 weeks sadly
