12 month old suddenly stopped feeding

So DD has been ill and then had her injections and suddenly stopped breastfeeding. She eats solid food and wasn’t BF during the day anyway.
I was keen to stop as going back to work and I want my body back! But hadn’t planned to stop so suddenly. I’m totally engorged. I have tried hand expressing in the shower and also using electric pump. I get a few drops out each time. I still feel engorged after. I’ve now not fed for almost 48 hours, so in a way not keen to offer baby boob again. But I’m not comfy. It’s the 23rd December. Drs closed etc. I don’t want mastitis! What can I do? Anyone been through something similar? Any tips?

I think I'd call one of the BFing Helplines and ask what's the best way to avoid Mastitis. For tonight though, I'd try pumping a little before bed for your own comfort Flowers

I ended up feeding her, but still hoping to reduce/wean. I just don’t want it to be too traumatic for her.
Thanks for your advice for the helpline. I didn’t even know that existed!
