Aptamil Stage 3 Follow On - Any users?

My DS is just about to go onto Aptamil Stage 3 Follow On formula. We have always made up feeds in advance and then stored them in the fridge. I don't want a debate about it being against the latest guidelines - so please only answer this question ;)

Those of you who also store feeds in the fridge, did you do the same with Aptamil Stage 3 Follow On??

The reason I ask is that it says on the box to use made up feeds within 1 hour whereas on the Stage 1 box it doesn't.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

This isn't answering the question so appologies but at the age when you can use follow on you don't have to worry so much about the sterilising/boiling water thing so it is very straight forward to mix up the powder with some water and give it straight to the baby. Maybe put some boiling water with the powder first to kill the bugs in the powder and then add tap water (but of course need to measure the amount of total water precisely).

Also if you have always done the storing the milk in the fridge thing then I doubt it is any more risky with follow on powder - but in this case I would keep on sterilising as the milk is hanging around for longer.

i would follow the instructions on the box

as per the use boiling water etc.. as far as i know, and i might be wrong, the same risks exist with all powdered infant milks, not just the first stage ones, as none of them are sterile, so it should be made according to the new guidelines

also, once you start giving a milk feed, it should be used within an hour, regardless of what stage milk it is

We've just come off Aptamil follow on onto cow's milk as dd2 is nearly one, but we just did exactly the same with follow on as we did with the regular stuff. Never had any probs!
