Formula feeding on the go

I had planned to breastfeed but for a couple of reasons it didn't work out.. I've bought loads of breastfeeding equipment but now need to get formula things. What do you all use?

How good are the rapid cool flasks? How do they work?

Or is a flask of boiling water best?

Is there something else I haven't considered?

Obviously I can get ready made cartons but they're expensive to use all the time.

the rapid cools are great- a bit bulky to carry about in the changing bag, but handy to stick under the pram/leave in the car til needed. You can only use each once though before it needs sterilising again. If I know he'll need a bottle within a couple of hours of leaving the house, I make up a fresh one just before going out, then it cools down before needed. I'm guilty of breaking the rules and pre making bottles too and storing in the fridge, warming up when needed (wasn't frowned upon when I had my first!), so these could be put in a cool bag with ice packs if you're out for the day and you can warm when needed in a cafe or whatever (but this is definitely not recommended by the NHS! 🙈).
