Really need some help!

have been giving my 4 week old baby cow and gate formula and had no issues at all she’s gaining weight and settling in well!

we was gifted a prep machine brand new followed all the instruction to set it up and have been using it a week.

i have noticed the Tuesday my daughter didn’t have a poo which was different for her as she’s being going daily with no issues and a good amount of wee also! I have kept an eye on her as this is a change to how the bottle is made I’m very sceptical and don’t trust the machine!

when she did poo Wednesday it was slightly more watery! No poo Thursday and just had a tiny one early hours of Friday she is constipated and struggles to get out the smallest bit.

my main concern is Thursday she has brought up 4 of her bottles all made in the prep machine by myself and partner reflux like symptoms it pumps out of her causing her to sometimes splutter, I have noticed Thursday also she has a cough new for her and she seems to be breathing very heavy which only I have noticed not all the time and it’s different to her active sleep panting.

I am keeping note of all her symptoms to try and remove things from her routine that may be making her sick!

any similar symptoms or experiences with the prep machine please comment and ease my overdriving brain!

If you've noticed a change in breathing pattern you need to take them to A&E.

Given that the machine is brand new it's likely a coincidence but when I was doing my infant feeding specialist course we were always told to advise against prep machines because their cleanliness can't be guaranteed despite how thoroughly you might wash them. (Again, just to stress this is absolutely not your fault in anyway. Just to clarify given that you're feeling anxious)

Please take them to get checked out x

Cough and breathing won’t be to do with the prep machine and you should bring a baby that young to be checked out.
