I am thinking of mixed feeding to help me get by at the moment, having a few issues with bf at the moment Baby is 2 mths, and just wondered how others mix feed.. how many feeds do you bf/formula or do you bf then top up with formula, or keep each feed one or the other?

tiredmummy, i started mixed feeding at 4/6 weeks. i just used to give a bottle last thing at night for about 2 months, then i found i could express at night to give a bottle during the day too. do what's best for you, i found it didn't impact my supply, just gave me a well needed rest when i was starting to feel a bit down. then i used to give a bottle at lunchtime too, but ds was bf all night if he wanted it and during the rest of the day. i finally stopped bf at 5 months. again, do what feels right for you. i know there are a lot of bf purists on this site, and all power to them but sometimes you just need a break!
