Be grateful if you'd share how much milk your LO has at 12mo and what time they have it? DS had his last BF night before his birthday, so I just don't know how much he should have now and when's the best time to give it. (Ideally dropping the night feeds at some point soon!) TIA

hello. my ds 1 today.
we been dropping bf slowly but now sped it up as i am pregnant again.
he still has night bfeed if he wakes, which he does!! three times last night but he has a cold so he is excused.
other than that he has: 250ml (think that is his cup size) at 9.30am, then at 2.30pm and then at 7pm. sometimes asks for more than that though. keep a jug of milk in fridge for him. haven't put him onto cow's milk yet. hope this helps. what are you doing?

thanks oddeyes - happy b'day to your DS and congrats on the pg!
Now that I've stopped the BF, DS has 8oz at his bedtime, then wakes in the night for a feed or 2 - we give him 6oz if he wakes before midnight. In the day it's tricky as we've been offering milk mid morning and mid afternoon, but I think this is putting him off his meals, so I might try just a mid afternoon one as you do then. He's at nursery 3days pw and won't take any milk at all there - too much going on, but he does eat his food really well there. Only problem with that is he tends to wake more at night for milk then.

However, after a year or frequent night wakings, he slept from 7.30pm - 5.30am last night so there is hope!

at 12 months ds just had 2 lidded cups of milk - about 6oz in the morning and 8oz at night. He never had any other milk during the day (or in the night) but did have other dairy products to make up his intake. Actually at 17 months he still has am and pm milk.

thanks seona, think i need to chill out about getting milk in him in the day then - as he's been such a night waker, I've tried to get more food in him in the day, as he still genuinely needs to feed when he wakes at night, but he does get plenty of yogurt, cheese sauces, rice pud etc. so I guess he's doing ok. that's really helpful, thanks.
