9 month old- how many bottles and oz?

How many bottles does your 9month old take in 24 hours please?
I just want to make sure what my LO is getting is enough as it sometimes doesn't sound like enough!
He's on five 7oz bottles in 24 hours (7am, 11am, 3pm, 6:30pm and a night feed around 1am)
He's also on two meals a day and some snacks in-between.
Does this sound about right? And how can I stop the night feed? Thankyou!! X

Wow that’s good going, my 9 month old only has 4 x 4oz bottles a day! She’s on 3 meals a day and still wakes up once in the night for a feed! Sounds like your little one is doing great 😊

You can always speak to your health visitor if you’re worried though! X

I bf but I know my friend gives her boy a dream feed. So gives him a bottle when she goes to bed at 10/11 to try and eliminate the night wake for a bottle. I think baby is pretty much still asleep when he has it.

Sounds like plenty. A minimim of 20oz (approx 600mls) is recommended from 6 months. From 10 months it's 400mls and then it drops to 300/350mls at 1 year.

Sounds fine. Definitely try a dream feed to get him off the 1am bottle.

Thanks all that's made me feel a lot better!! I've tried the dream feed around 11 but he doesn't want it. Purses his lips so I can't even get the bottle in! Even when he has the night feed it's only half the bottle- I think it's perhaps more comfort than hunger?

Think he was on 3 or 4 7/8oz bottles then.

Probably 7.30am 11am 3pm 7pm.

When we added in lunch (so up to three meals) I dropped the 3pm bottle because it was a lot of food in a short amount of time and he wasn't finishing his bedtime one and then waking up hungry.

@IntergalacticP yes I think we may stop the 3pm one soon so he eats more dinner !
