There is tons of info on CO on mn, do a search and you should find what you are after. Most people find it very useful

DD had one session when she was 3 weeks very constipated and windy, osteopath also suggested changing fromula which we did and she was much more settled after that

crackpotdog · 10/03/2008 11:47

he has bad bottom burps ALL the time, can only poo once every 24-48hours and grunts for hours on end b4 producing!seems to have bad upwards wind also, on infacol permanently, had real bad night last night. doesn't scream like a 'colicky baby', but we ave been told he is a very laid back baby, but obviously in distress/pain, grunts all the time

I would defintiely give it a go. I took ds when he was 10 days old and cried a lot through trapped wind. She treated him while I breast fed him (he was so content, must have been like having a massage while feeding I guess), we sat him up and he let out a massive burp! Was fine after 2 treatments - amazing.
I was told that his wind problem was linked to me having a long second stage of labour where he was being squashed with no relief for so long. Did your baby have difficult birth?

crackpotdog · 10/03/2008 20:42

just to let you know we've been!! as he presented back to back, i dilated in 2 hours flat to 10cms and then he was out in 50 mins of pushing, but was stuck at the head half way out the osteopath says its due to all those factors and his head needs opening ou. seems better already and has done a bit poo!! 2 in less than 24hrs is unknown!! bless

That is great news

crackpotdog · 10/03/2008 21:55

he's bringing wind up now but with quite a bit of his milk!! seems a different character now, a bit manic compared to how he was which was really laid back!! look out we might be in for a bumpy ride!! and we thought we might get some sleep 2nite! hubby just taken him upstairs to see if he'll go down!! keep everything crossed!!

I used one for DS reflux - had 4 sessions and major improvement - some fingers crossed for some sleep this evening!

deaconblue · 11/03/2008 07:26

good, so pleased you've found it useful. It makes sense that a difficult birth could make them feel crappy, although it hadn't occurred to me before I had ds. Have already researched cranial osteopaths where we live now ready for when new baby arrives just in case

crackpotdog · 11/03/2008 10:14

just to let you know!! put hm down at 10pm, winged a bit but asleep by 11pm, didn't hear a peep till after 3am, then after 8am!! Heaven!! Hubb had a cours today so actually managed a decnetish nights sleep so he may not fall asleep in health and safety lectures today!! but then again.....
