Moving onto solids from comfort milk

Hi. I wondered if anyone had any experience of transitioning from comfort milk onto solids?
We have been using comfort milk from around 8 weeks due to constipation which made a world of difference!
Any advice so we don't experience going back to being very constipated and little one being very uncomfortable? He is nearly 6 months old.

I can't help you with comfort milk but I did have a regularly constipated baby. He took to solids really well and apart from the first 2 non-milk poos he did where he went 6 days then 6 more days he now goes pretty much every day

He loves stewed pears and broccoli and I'm sure that's helping him. We only do one meal a day with either pasta or rice because days where he has 2 he seems to get more blocked up. Look up foods that help with constipation and focus on them when you start weaning

No advice with the comfort formula but naturally he may struggle a little bit when starting solids as his digestive system just isn't used to it. Start with the one meal a day, and small amounts and build up.
There are certain foods which will encourage him to go (prunes for example)
But if he does struggle you can also get lactulose prescribed as well which just makes their stool softer and easier to pass.

Good luck with the weaning!
