EBF 12 week old's latch has slipped. Is this a problem?

My 12 week old baby girl is EBF. I have noticed that her latch doesn't seem great anymore and she seems to just be latching to the nipple. She still seems to be able to feed without any trouble. Nappy output is good and she seems full and satisfied after a feed. It's not uncomfortable for me either. Is her latch a problem or should I just let her carry on?

Thanks! 😊

Hi Flopsy. My baby is bottlefed but she also started to suddenly latch poorly at 11weeks. She had tongue tie which needed to be divided twice so I assumed it was related to this again but she still had full tongue mobility so I was confused. However I spoke to the TT specialist for advice and she said it sounded more developmental in that their mouths are growing and changing shape all the time and sometimes they just play around with the teat/ nipple as they get used to the new sensation. It should pass in a few days. perhaps it could be something similar for you LO?
