how much expressed milk do I need?

I know this is a bit of a how long is a piece of string question...but I have been having so many problems with latching that I am considering expressing more to feed by 13 week old. Question is how much would i need to express a day? He is a big boy - 16lbs..Any advice would be great.

I think it all depends on how many times per day your LO feeds, but my 9mo old DD rarely takes more than 5flo ozs of EBM, and has been like this since she was a tiny baby.
