Mastitis, blocked duct or abscess?

Can somebody please shed some light on this please?
I have been ebf my six week old baby since birth. 10 days ago I had a large lump the size of a satsuma come up on my breast. Tried all the usual tricks to shift it but I couldn't budge it. Went to the GP after a few days of this and was told I have mastitis and put on antibiotics (unsure of this as I haven't felt particularly unwell at any point).
Been on the antibiotics for 5 days now and no change in the lump. Should a blocked duct have cleared by now? I'm starting to worry I have an abscess but feel well in myself so seems unlikely.

Has anybody had such a stubborn mastitis lump/blocked duct before? Unsure whether I should go back to the GP or wait until my 6 week postnatal check which is booked for Friday.

So close to giving up BF now, I am just sick of all the issues and pain. TIA

Sounds like an abscess to me! I was similarly fobbed off! Ended up in hospital for a week!
