So my son is two weeks old today (he’s my second but didn’t have anything like this with my first)

so he’s on cow and gate, feeds 2ozs every 2 hours. Day time is fine, few times he will be sick his feed but he doesn’t cry or anything after his feed.

night time is completely different: every night from about 9/10 till early hours 1/2/3 he cries like he’s in pain and he needs winding. He’s squirming he won’t stay still, he’s stretching his legs out. He will commit his feed then want more literally straight after. He will literally feed the whole time he’s awake as well like he never seems full and the only time he stops crying is when he has a bottle. He won’t take a dummy either life tried a few brands and he just gags and spits it out!

can anyone help or give me some advice on what to do?! How to help him?!

he’s just had another feed now and he’s gone straight to sleep. It’s kusf between them hours he screams!

one tired mama 😩

It does sound like silent reflux or trapped wind, poor soul and poor you too.
I'd probably first try infacol for the gas.
I'd also do extra burping during the day, even if you think you've done enough burping, do some more.
Do tummy massage and leg exercises in the day.

If it's reflux there are medicines you can get from gp but we got gaviscon and it was useless.
The main thing that resolved that was just time. The valve at the tummy entrance is not strong yet and so it flaps around allowing food and acid to come up the oesophagus causing the pain. It's awful

I remember our son was so bad at night time and the only way he'd sleep was totally upright on my husband. Then I wedged myself between a v shaped pillow and he slept upright on my chest.

Have you got help of a partner?
