It is & on a great website too. When my dd was born I had the benefit of a mum & aunt who were passionate about breastfeeding, together with a close friend who had just done it - not many other people have such great support & Hunker's website is all about providing that personal knowledge. IMHO she's doing a fabulous job.

"I?ve long been a campaigner and advocate of the legislation introduced in 2007, but it only protects women until their infants are 12 months old, so I don?t think it goes far enough."
Just out of curiosity, what is the 12 month about???

SoupDragon · 06/03/2008 21:15

Unfortunately, my public breastfeeding has been completely and utterly uneventful. No comments whatsoever despite regularly having my tits out in the front window of Starbucks.

Imawurzel · 06/03/2008 21:19

i haven't tried feeding in public yet, not quite got the discreet ability yet.But do feed round mums and IL's.
At the moment i wear a vest top, loose fitted top and a cardi, can be rather warm.
The hugger thingy looks good.
Town is just down the road from me so i never need to stop there for long.
But the time is gonna come soon when we go further afield.
So i really need to practice on not flashing everyone.

Thomcat · 06/03/2008 21:21

done.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/03/2008 21:56

Awww I knew I could count on you lot

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 06/03/2008 21:58

CSWS, yes. Because it's the only way BabyDragon will have a nap

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/03/2008 22:02

Ahhh, cunning. Same here, except that she will then only nap on my lap .

On an entirely different subject, whilst I have your attention (all helps bump the thread anyway doesn't it), what does BabyDragon think of her Rothan? Dd has shown no interest in hers whatsoever so far.

SoupDragon · 06/03/2008 22:05

She loved riding* it round the kitchen when she got it and loves pinging the bell I put on it but, er, that's it right now!

(* sitting astride it and falling off to be precise)

abibatousmum · 06/03/2008 22:21

added my story on- great website. I do think it is really important to counter all these negative stories in the media about the horror faced by women breastfeeding in public. I have to say I identified with the woman who worried about how to encourage breastfeeding mums without grinning like a mad woman- perhaps we need some kind of mumsnet secret signal!!
