Nipple looks weird after breastfeeding

Hi all I’ve always had small breasts and relatively flat nipples. My right breast has always been bigger and this was the same during pregnancy. I breastfed for 18 months and after only about 3 months I stopped using the left breast as baby seemed to prefer the right. I also had a large slit that caused me a lot of pain. I’ve noticed now that my left nipple still appears split, almost like I’ve got 2 nipples on the areola. Is this normal? My left breast shrunk rapidly once I stopped feeding on that side and so I was very uneven for a while but it’s the shape of the nipple that concerns me. It still reacts to stimulus and becomes erect but it still appears to have the dip in the middle - bifurcated nipple? Can breastfeeding/damage to nipple/sudden withdrawal of breastfeeding on one side cause this issue?

I'd get it checked out at your gp for peace of mind
