Anti reflux formula

I've already made several threads about the issues with my 4 weeks old...

But I'm still struggling big time!
She's has a case of bad reflux + windy colic. Basically she cries after each feeds, vomiting and spitting up until the next feed.

We tried EVERYTHING. Like every medicine and tips and tricks... You name it, we tried it (we also tried Nutramigen which made her symptoms way worse...). The only thing that made a difference was the anti reflux formula from HIPP but it gave her really bad diarrhoea and projectile vomit after a day on it.

I think having something that thickens her milk would help, but clearly she doesn't agree with it.

Do you know if there's any other thickener that uses a different ingredient than the anti reflux from Hipp?

I’m having problems with my 8 week old. He has bad reflux & we’ve been put on Nutrimigen as I wasn’t 100% that it was just reflux as he had other symptoms too. 24 hours in he’s screaming after every feed and begging for more food. I’m going to speak to a pharmacist today.

I’ve read something called Carobel can thicken formula but I’m not sure if it’s something on prescription or not.

I really hope you manage to get her some relief. ❤️

I feel you, it's so hard to know what to do and I feel like GPs' are completely useless...

I believe Carobel uses the same ingredients as the anti reflux from Hipp from what I've read :/

The other two options I've been thinking of:

  • Neocate for a proper dairy free formula (Nutramigen is just lactose free)
  • A case of Pyloric Stenosis...

Hope you find something that works for your little one!
