Not very important question - refusing one breast

My ds decided last night and this morning he didn't want right side despite it being his usual favourite. He cried as soon as I put him near it but took the left side happy as anything. I tried expressing a bit in case it was too full - no difference! It doesn't really matter - sure he'll change his mind again soon, but am puzzled as to why such an instant dislike without even actually touching right side. I don't use perfume or anything. Just interested if anyone else has had this or knows why...

hmm prob nothing both mine had a favourite boob. but possible ear ache if he didnt like being on one side?

My DD did the same, however I could get her to take from the 'disliked side' if she had the other side first. I wondered if it was related to the fact that we found out later that she had an ear infection.

Well, he's just changed his mind and taken from the right side after all. Interesting though - I hadn't thought about earache. Thanks for the comments
