Waking newborns

My LO wakes up every 2-3 hours. She's 3 weeks old now.
I am falling asleep but waiting up for her to wake up, have a feed, get burped and settle again.

I would like to (won't til I get advice) wake her up to feed her and prepare her for bed so I can sleep sooner.

Should we wake new born babies to feed them?

Not sure you 'should' do anything. Do what feels right for you and your baby. You don't need permission from randoms off the internet!

You won’t do her any harm if you wake her up to feed her, but she might not be very hungry and it could backfire!

Personally I wouldn’t wake a baby who wakes every 2-3 hours anyway.

When I had infants, my strategy was to be ready for bed around 10pm. Feed baby and when they went down around that time, hop into bed myself and hope for the best! I often got 3-4 hours at that time of night.
