My almost 10mo has started eating! We had a rocky start and I was genuinely worried… it may have seemed like I was getting more stressed out than I should’ve done in my previous thread but I was so concerned for her.
now that she’s eating, I need advice on portion sizes. She is on mashed food, how many tbsp of food should an almost 10mo be consuming? Baring in mind she’s very new to eating so perhaps not a lot is normal at this stage for her.
now that we have sussed this eating business me and DP have been asked out on the 28th of October.. She will be a few weeks away from being 1. She is still EBF and may take water from bottle / sippy cup but it’s hit and miss. She won’t take milk, only accepts bf. If she’s on 3 meals a day by then and drinking a decent amount of water am I okay to leave her with nanny and nanny try the bottle? Will it matter if the bottle isn’t a success? I don’t want to starve her and won’t go if I think she’ll be starving hungry and upset all night. Was thinking of dinner, bf to sleep and if she wakes leaving my mum with a bottle in the hopes it works..
advice?

That's great that she's eating. If she won't take milk I definitely wouldn't try introducing a bottle at this age, she will be fine with a cup. She may or may not decide to drink milk, and that's fine. If she does drink any milk it's unlikely to be more than a couple of ounces at a time. BF babies take on average 25 floz, maybe 30 at this age and so she's used to having much smaller feeds than a FF baby.

As for the portion sizes, you can find them in this guide Wink
