Hi everyone,
Long post ahead so thank you if you take the time to read and answer.
My dd is exclusively in goat milk formula. I am lactose intolerant and so are my parents so after doing some research we got to the conclusion that might be the best choice for us as it has the A2 milk protein which is easier to digest for little tummies.
We have not had any issues until last week when she started being in a lot of discomfort. She has always only had one dirty nappy in 24hours and is usually very hard at first and then comes out as an explosion. Since Thursday last week she has only had hard stools and that if we used the Frida windi, and in the past 24 hours she has not had any dirty nappy. She always looks like she is straining for a poo but there's nothing coming out. She passes a lot of gas and usually cries when she does, so she must be in pain.
Over the weekend she has also not fed as much, she is usually hungry and eats between 90-120ml at a feed. Now she eats about 60ml, cries during feeds and is often refusing the bottle because she is too angry.
We tried Infacol but it made things worse, she would not burp anymore and make a lot of sad noises and faces. I bought the Colief drops and started them this morning hoping for them to help her.
Our HV told us to speak to the GP and the GP sent us back to the HV so not much help from there....
Anyone switched from goat milk to cows milk or comfort cows milk? Also not sure how to relieve constipation...
