Secondary/ Temporary Lactose Intolerance - How long does it last?

DD2 has been diagnosed with temporary lactose intolerance after a viral tummy bug. Have thankfully just found out about SMA LF, as she wouldn't have anything to do with soya formula the GP recommended and can't yet tolerate half-strength regular formula yet.

Didn't think to ask the doctor on Thursday, how long the intolerance usually lasts. Anyone have experience of this? I'm wondering how long to keep her on the LF stuff before trying to re-introduce the regular stuff.

Thanks!
