Cracked nipple - anything cheap that can help?

DD2 feeds only from one side, she is 12 months old and down to 1 feed per day but for some strange reason the skin is peeling off my nipple and it is cracking - like it did in the very early days. I am wincing with pain when she is feeding.

I know I have a tube of Lansinoh somewhere but cannot find it! I really grudge(and the fact I cant afford) to buy another tube when we are so close to stopping feeding altogether.

Does anyone know of anything that will help that is cheap?

vaseline? on bit of muslin square cut up and left on? This is essentially what Jelonet is which I've used and many others on here...

you can get lansinoh on prescription if you go to the gp

Can you honestly get Lansinoh on prescription?

I have Jelonets, have been using for the past 2 days but not much help tbh.

I'm not sure how much it was - about £5.00 I think, Kamillosan was worth about £50.00. I had really sore cracked, bleeding nipple for about 5 days - Kamillosan immediately soothed it and was completely cured in about 2 days. It is also useful for nappy rash/chafe and "other minor sore skin conditions". Can't recommend it highly enough.
