Combi feeding on holiday help

I am combi feeding my baby but not directly breastfeeding, only expressing. It’s going a lot better than I expected so far and I’m only giving one bottle of formula at night before bed, purely to fill her up more, not because I don’t have enough milk. I know I could probably not do this but it’s working so we’re sticking with it for now and the plan was always to switch to formula eventually.

I had set out with the aim of doing this for 6 weeks. It is extremely time consuming and physically hard on my body but I’m now building up a huge freezer store of milk so thinking I could stop at a couple of months but keep giving my expressed milk until it’s finished. The dilemma is we are going on holiday when baby is 4 months and obviously it’s impossible to take our freezer with us. I’d really like to have stopped by then to ‘have my body back’ and be able to enjoy a drink etc.

Would I be able to just solely formula feed that week then go back to combi feeding when we’re home do you think to use it all up?

You might be able to but LO might have other ideas. It should be fine though.

Hope you have a nice holiday Wink
